Welcome Fritz and Hilde.
Our new German Wirehair Pointer Puppies!
The dogs I said we absolutely were NOT GETTING!
I wash my hands of the resultant consequences of this lack of respect for my authority by my loving husband. For instance, the recent loss of an entire nights sleep!

On the other hand, how cute are they? And the kids love them. We all laughed hysterically as Trent got licked completely clean.

They are 14 weeks old, so some of their training has already been started. They are mostly potty trained, and are learning their new names quickly. For puppies they are very mellow, not at all chaotic. If they're not wrestling eachother, they are snuggling. Marshall's Aunt commented that he must really be grieving to have to get TWO dogs. I always said, the next time around we would get two so they could keep eachother company. As brother and sister, they are good at doing that.

Callie is taking her responsibilites very seriously. To the point of tears if something doesn't go quite right. She doesn't realize they are only just puppies and are still learning to listen. The first night we had them she didn't leave their side for 3 hours straight. I finally had to seperate her from them. She was trying to let one out and it ran off before she could get it hooked on the line. After a bit of chasing, she finally grabbed the dog and drug it back into the garage, crying the whole time. "The puppies aren't listening to me Mom!"

I was soooo not looking for this kind of responsibility again, but as usual life is always interesting at our house!
