Getting Religion

Congratulations on your First Communion Trent!
Everyone is so proud of you!
Unlike his First Reconciliation in which he said to me every 3 minutes, "I'm ready, what's next", until I finally realized it wasn't the confession part he wanted to get to but the part afterward when we were going to Super Wal-mart! All through this ceremony Trent kept saying, "I'm excited. I'm excited!" And he would squeeze my arm or kiss my cheek! He was really into it and focused. He even did a short reading.
When it came time he asked me if he could try the wine. I said, of course he could, and even though I didn't take it, he did. I got a good chuckle when afterward he told me, "He wanted to try it, but it was too sour, so he tipped the cup up, but didn't actually drink any!" I'm glad he was willing to try.
