Trent Time!

Sophisticated

We are so refined and sophisticated. The kids had off school on Friday. One of our friends is a docent at the Art Museum, so we planned a little field trip for the kids. The visit was two part. At school on Tuesday, Trent went with his class to the symphony. The first part of the museum we looked at art that related to the songs he heard, it was music by American composers. Our docent friend did a nice job of tying the two together.
You should have seen the look on Marshall's face when I told him we were taking the kids to the art museum. He said, "they are going to be bored stiff!" This is actually Trent's second time going to the art museum, and third if you count when I was pregnant with him! He likes it. Especially the mummy sarcophagus.
The real reason we went was to see the new exhibit called Act React. It's all interactive art. The kids and I created our own "art" with moving lines and pools of orange light. We told stories with our touch, we saw our reflections in wooden pegs and snow, with our movements our shadows danced and waved on multiple TV screens, lit up the room and painted pictures on three different wall sized canvas's.
See Marshall, art is fun! Mom's make everything more fun! He actually really enjoy's going himself.

Busy B's

Whoa! Feels like it's been forever! Good to be here again. I went through a couple of the stages of addiction recovery, but couldn't quite get past it.

When summer ended and school started, I was relieved because it meant things might be slowing down a little bit. I would be home more. Home? Where? You mean the place where you sleep right? Yeah, I go there a couple times a week! Next year I will be prepared for this. I thought Summer was the busiest season for us. Nope! It's Fall. Fall means driving to school, fall means birthday parties every weekend, fall means hockey starts, fall means hunting starts. And once September and October end, then there's the holidays. Soooo.... Will things slow down for us in January? Being the optimist that I am, I believe they will, but maybe I should be prepared just in case.

We've been Busy B's.
Some highlights of our Fall:
Apple Picking at Farmer John's.

Harvest Festival at School.

StarWars Birthday Parties, Water Park Birthday Parties, Bounce House Birthday Parties! All for Trent's friends. Callie can't wait for one of her friends to have a birthday party!
Plus 2 hockey practices a week, Trent has had alot his month, (Pics are mostly Callie, gotta give her something!)
Upcomming, Art Mueseum, Halloween and Lacrosse weekend.
Sooo.... Off we go! It's Chasing Time!
