I'm just going to pretend that it hasn't been a really long time since the last time I posted.(26 days! I can't believe it! Where have I been??? Everywhere, nowhere, driving! driving! driving!reading a book instead.)
Of course I did my patriotic duty(doody!) and voted today. Trent's teacher enouraged us to take the kids for the experience, so Callie, Trent and I went before school. The line took us about 15 minutes to get through. My sister waited 2 hours! The kids waited very patiently and Trent asked minimal questions, but, like a 6 year old would, with no regard, confirmed in his nicest inside voice, who we would be voting for.
The whole process took 20 minutes.
As we were walking out to the car, Callie starts crying. "But I thought we were going to go out on the water. You said we were going to go on the water!" I thought maybe she wanted to drink out of the bubbler (not the water fountain mind you.)
"You said we were going on the boat."
Oh Callie, I would have much rather taken you on a boat!
