Chasing Callie!

Trent Time!

Just Like Daddy

Besides having Marshall's hair color, cheeks and lips, Trent and Callie remind me of him in other ways.
Yesterday night Trent was watching TV while I was putting Callie to bed. After she was asleep, I went down to get Trent. Being the night owl that he is, just like Daddy, he wanted to watch one more show. I was tired and wanted to go to bed. Sometimes I'm in the mood for testing his maturity, so I told him one more show and he was responsible for turning everything off and getting into bed. I fully intended on checking on him in a half hour, but fell fast asleep til morning. Rare for me to sleep all night, but hooray for me! I wokeup and Trent was not in his bed. I went downstairs, all the lights were still on and so was the TV. Trent was laying on the beanbag with a blanket. I expected him to be asleep, but he was wide awake! I said, "Please don't tell me you watched TV all night!" You should have seen the smile on his face. "I wanted to try it! I did fall asleep for a little bit." Yes, this was a school night. Yes, he lost his TV privledges as punishment. I swear Marshall could watch TV all night, doze off for a little bit and pick right up where he left off.
Now of course Callie also has Marshall's blue eyes, so in looks she is more like Marshall. This next part of the story I would expect to come from Trent, not Callie. (She'll probably kill me when she reads this as a teenager!) At pick-up today Callie's teacher told me she had a "really big BM and they had to have a lesson on using the plunger." I knew Marshall would get a kick out of this, and when I told him he said, "That's Daddy's girl!" A father should be so proud!
