Movie Adventure

We took the kids to see Horton Hears a Who. We had to make the most of this weekend because it is our only free one for the next 4 weeks! It's starting early this year!
The local (said with tongue in cheek, 40 minutes away!) theater is always jammed on the weekends and especially on rainy days (Yes, more rain!). Marshall decided we would venture into Illinois for a movie. I'm all for adventures, but not when I just paid $3.50/gallon to fill my tank! Besides movies are expensive these days! $20 for 3 tickets to the matinee! I remeber going to the movies with my parents and $20 bought all our tickets (4) plus the licorice. And in those days we brought our own popcorn! (Does writing like that make me sound old?)
Anyway, the kids enjoyed it. It took Callie a little bit to settle in to the show, but eventually she was sitting in her own seat peering over the giant popcorn bucket in her lap. I wish I could have taken a picture of that.
