Spring?

Not yet, but a whole flock of these welcomed visitors gobbled up every last berry on the tree in our front yard today.
Trent's birthday is 2 weeks away, that means next weekend will be beautiful. The weekend before his birthday has always given us a little taste of what's to come! Plus, the groundhog finally saw his shadow this year!

A Glimpse Into the Future.

The H.S. cheerleaders hosted a cheer clinic for the elementary girls complete with a chance to try out the pyramid, (which I didn't think was such a good idea!) and performance at the girls basketball game. Of course TwinkleToes are the shoe of choice for a future cheerleader.

Love All Around Us

Happy Valentine's Day.
No use crying over spilled milk. Especially when it's heart shaped. Not exactly my idea of a Valentine! I liked the chocolate fondue better!

Our Hockey Life

About this time of year we start to say to ourselves, "will it ever end?". The hockey season that is! It's a love/hate relationship. We do love it, but there comes a time when we need to let our love go for a little bit so we can love it even more when it comes back!
The great thing is, pond hockey renews the interest a little. At least once or twice a year we get to go skate on the Lake. Usually weather permitting one of those times is for Gran and Leah's birthday. A great day for a skate.
This year one of the neighborhood Dad's organized a little game for the boys in Trent's class. Trent was severely handicapped by the fact that is was a boots only game! I had so much fun watching these boys enjoy themselves so much.
We were lucky with ice conditions this year. Actually got out 4 times!
One more month of hockey. We can do it! I'll just keep looking forward to my perennial favorite:Skating at the Admirals Game!

Gone to the Dogs

Apparently my dogs have found my car to be a fun jungle gym. GREAT!

I'm pretty sure I said, "NO DOGS." Right?
Well the kids and Marshall love having them, so I am very much out-numbered!

Snowpocaplyse 2011

That's what I heard someone describe this snow storm as. I am so glad Marshall was home to do the driveway! GoGo Little Snow-thrower!

Callie and Daddy built a fort to hunker down the night before.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas....

In my case it's nothing scandalous, no great stories, just ME "staying" in Vegas! Long story short, when I bought my tickets I bought two one way tickets, I just didn't realize they were both Milwaukee to Las Vegas!
Marshall had a conference here, at the same time Arbonne was having there's so I talked my way into free conference fees and hotel room and booked a flight! The conference was great! (Head on over to jennyography to read more about it.) The night before I was leaving Las Vegas Marshall's foot was really hurting him, we blamed the new shoes, but reailzed he was having Gout!(Guess he won't be having Foie Gras any more. Don't send PETA after me, it was soooo good!) He was checking on the flights to see if he could come home earlier with me and he couldn't find my flight. That's when I realized I had done it wrong! Huge pit in my stomache! A little bit of finagling on the phone with the airline, and $75 later, my flight was changed. If this ever happens to you, get them to waive the flight change fee, buy the cheapest ticket for that day, pay the price difference and hope to get on standby for the flight you want. Good thing the original ticket was cheap! So here I am, one more day in Vegas. One more sunny fabulous day! Right now it's minus 1 degrees at home! I actually think my face is getting sunburned and ask me if I care!
I didnt feel compelled to bring my big camera so I-touch pictures will have to do. (In fact, I was travelling very light. This is all I brought for 4 nights!Literally what you see in the picture is all I brought! I forgot to pack extra underware! Yup one pair for the whole trip! Good thing they were quick drying!)
Took me a bit to figure out how to get clear pictures with this thing. Blogging from it rightnow. Thanks Santa! This picture is for the kids. We flew over the Grand Canyon on the way home! So, Marshall and I got on the same flight and thankfully I didn't have to "stay in Las Vegas!"
