Chasing Time Rewind

Like the movie click, I'm taking some time to rewind to some of the other events we've been doing, but haven't blogged about.
Like....
Winter Fest
Lake Geneva does a snow sculpting contest every year. It brings talented scupltors from all over the world. The weather is always hit or miss. This year it got progressively warmer and warmer. Marshall went with his Grandma during the week while they were sculpting. We drove through on Saturday. Sad, they had done a lot of melting, we didn't even bother to get out and look closely. We went straight to the Mountain Top ski hill. (Note:"Mountain" Top is said with slight sarcasm for my lucky Colorado friends!) They have a ski parade and fireworks. Callie still doesn't like the sound of fireworks, but she got used to it as the show went on. Its a great little show, and not at all crowded.

The Circus
The circus was in town, and all of society was there. (Excuse me while I get up on my soap box,) I have never seen such bad parenting in all my life. I was seriously scared for some of these kids. (That's all.)
I forgot how fun the circus is. They had it all. The lions, the clowns, the trapeeze artists, and a man shot out of a cannon!
I was nervous when they opened with this guy. The picture is out of focus, but you get the idea of how he danced around to the 80's heavy metal. Read my friends description of it. She nailed it! (Click here)
Callie really enjoyed her cotton candy. Have you ever seen anyone eat cotton candy like an ice cream cone?
Her favorite part of the circus was the "beautiful lady, with the beautiful white dress, then she changed to a different dress." This circus had the worlds only "Ring Mistress".
Trent liked the Man Shot out of the Cannon. It WAS pretty cool!

Trent and Marshall's Birthdays
I can't believe I've been a parent for SEVEN years! Happy 7th birthday Trent!
Every year their birthday weekend falls on the same weekend as the school dinner fundraiser. This year it was the same day as Marshall's birthday. It's a fun time, but I know not the way he would choose to spend his day. Once again I was a winner in the raffle.
On the flip side, Marshall was the big winner for the hockey raffle. He won three things, I won one. I'm telling you, you gotta believe!
